About Us

We Believe Every Better Day

Begins with Hope.

Long before a person reaches out for help, there is often a moment of uncertainty - a silent struggle, a difficult decision, or a life-changing event. During those moments, having someone to turn to can make all the difference.

For A Better Day Foundation was created because no one should have to navigate life's challenges alone.

We believe that mental wellness is not only about overcoming adversity - it's about helping people build stronger lives, healthier relationships, and more resilient communities.

That belief continues to guide everything we do.

OUR MISSION

Our Purpose

We exist to strengthen mental wellness by connecting people with education, resources, recovery support, and trusted community partnerships.

Rather than working in isolation, we bring together healthcare providers, educators, community organizations, public agencies, businesses, volunteers, and individuals who share a common goal: creating communities where people can thrive.

Because lasting change happens when communities work together.

How We See Mental Health

Mental health is part of every stage of life.

It influences how we learn, work, build relationships, cope with challenges, and care for one another.

Supporting mental wellness means looking beyond a diagnosis. It means creating environments where people feel connected, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

That perspective shapes every initiative, partnership, and conversation we lead.

Spilling Sand

Our dedication goes beyond just offering programs. We are focused on enhancing support systems, minimizing obstacles to care, encouraging prevention, and providing individuals and families with the resources they require before challenges escalate into crises. We gauge our success not only by the services we deliver, but also by the lives we uplift, the partnerships we cultivate, and the healthier communities that emerge when people collaborate.

As our communities continue to grow and change, so will our work.

We remain committed to listening, learning, and collaborating with those we serve, ensuring that every initiative reflects the evolving needs of our communities while staying true to one enduring purpose:

Creating hope. Strengthening mental wellness. Inspiring better days.

For A Better Day Business Plan

For A Better Day Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on empowering youth, adults, and families by providing essential life skills and mental health support.

We also address the needs of individuals impacted by substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. Our commitment is to foster a recovery-oriented system of care that promotes resilience and inclusion while working to eliminate the stigma surrounding emotional health.

Our **Better Day Connection Center** is a vital initiative aimed at establishing a community-based, peer-led Recovery Community Organization (RCO) in our local area. This center seeks to enhance Recovery Capital, reduce barriers to recovery, and create pathways toward long-term wellness. As we develop our center, our Strategic Roadmap will align with the specific needs of our community and West Palm Beach's behavioral health priorities, while embracing best practices in peer recovery support. To effectively reach our goals, we are forming partnerships with local educational institutions and community organizations, digital platforms for wider outreach. Our commitment to affordability includes competitive pricing, scholarships, and funding through grants and donations, ensuring our programs remain accessible to all. Our experienced team of life coaches and mental health professionals is dedicated to making a positive impact.

The Better Day Connection Center will serve as a welcoming space, following a "No Wrong Door" approach that invites individuals to seek support without barriers. We will continuously measure the impact and effectiveness of our through data-driven evaluation methods to ensure we deliver meaningful benefits to all participants. As we look to the future, our vision includes sustainable growth, innovative programs, and strategic partnerships that contribute to community upliftment. For A Better Day Foundation is dedicated to driving change through individual empowerment and equitable access to mental health and recovery resources, working towards a brighter future for everyone in our community.

Useful information

The 988 Lifeline

988 is now active across the United States. This new, shorter phone number will make it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services. (Please note, the previous 1-800-273-TALK (8255) number will continue to function indefinitely.)

When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
